Rules/ToS: Those that do not follow will be subject to ban.*

General rules:


1.Do NOT use any offensive, illegal, dangerous, threatening, abusive, vulgar, sexist, obscene, hateful, racist, ethnical or otherweise questionable speech and names.

Offending a Staff member: Players are prohibited to use offensive, illegal, dangerous, threatening, abusive, vulgar, sexist, obscene, hateful, racist, ethnical or otherweise questionable speech toward any staff member.
Staff members consist of: [Owner], [ADM], [GM], [GMA], [GS], [NUB]

*If a Staff member is offended, they may silence ban, movement ban, /kick. If you are reported for offensive, illegal, dangerous, threatening, abusive, vulgar, sexist, obscene, hateful, racist, ethnical or otherweise questionable speech or for not listening to what a staff member says. Any conversation on a chat program like Skype with a GM/ADM present is included in this.

2. Do not Hack, Skill cut, Stat Pad, Dup Items, Anything of the Sort.

3. Do not Use the same name as a staff member, and do not Disguise yourself as a staff member!

4. KS'ing is NOT allowed in maps(normal mobs) but IS allowed on bosses. Resetting the bosses is considered harassment if done against your own faction and will result in punishments administered. (Solo farming is an instant ban)

5. Boss raids MUST be open. Multiple raids are not allowed unless the population doesn't allow for 1 raid, in this case guild raids will then be allowed but the raid MUST be auto join. (This excludes faction jumpers as we do not support faction jumping) Farming in a boss in a party is not allowed as the party itself cannot be considered "open".

6. The minimum age for game play is 18. Anyone under 18 registering an account is submitting they have parental consent to play games with a high maturity level and graphic nature. Altho our rules prohibit certain language usage, we are not responsible for any insult taken from communication or interaction with the other players.

In game Chat:

--ENGLISH PREFERRED IN TRADE CHAT--**

1. Repeatedly posting the same message in the in game chat channels is considered spamming and therefore forbidden. Posting links or references with no relation to Shaiya is also prohibited.
2. Only English is accepted in normal chat /trade chat.
3. You must also not ask for cheats, hacks, bugs, exploits or bots.
4. Furthermore writing with CAPS-LOCK activated is undesirable in the chats.
5.Stat Padding will not be tolerated. Will result in Perm Ban

Grief-Play (undesired interference of other player's game play):

Other players must not be disturbed intentionally by one's own playing style. In contrast to the general rules of conduct, this rule is related to the application of game methods which may present an extreme disruption of game play or harassment to other players. This may include "Training" (attracting monsters on other characters intending them to be killed by these mobs) or distracting a boss enemy who is in battle with others to make him lose focus and regain full health points.

These rules do not affect exclusively PvP-related matters, e.g. repeatedly killing the same opponent in a PvP zone is not considered Grief-Play

Impersonating any Staff Members is prohibited
Exploits
The exploitation of bugs is not allowed. This destroys both, game and fun. If you stumble over an error in the game please contact GM or GS

*Game Mechanics: Game mechanics are constructs of rules intended to produce an enjoyable game or game play. All games use mechanics; however, theories and styles differ as to their ultimate importance to the game. In general, the process and study of game design are efforts to come up with game mechanics that allow for people playing a game to have a fun and engaging experience. This applies to the Guards, glitching bosses ect. They are considered part of the gaming style.

Accounts:

Every player is solely responsible for his own game account. Make sure that no unauthorized persons gain knowledge of your game account data. The support team will not recover any mischief caused by the propagation of game account data to any third party or by insufficient measures of security.
Disseminating the game account is not allowed, neither in return for payment nor for other rewards.

Guild Leaders: Guild Ware House is under YOUR control. What happens in guild stays in guild you are responsible for it! Staff is not responsible for anything that gets removed from Guild warehouse or guild accounts!


In Game Rules For EVENTS and PVP:

No Guild Raids are allowed for Events or PVP unless the server population doesn't allow for single raids.

Skype, and all other forms of online communication:

Chats and Verbal conversations DO NOT apply to ToS Unless the conversation Consist of a [GM],[GMA],[ADM],[Owner]. When one of those staff members that are listed above enter the Chat ToS applies.

===================== GS Rules =========================

1. GS are not In charge of any events nor are they allowed to create events without a GM's/Admins Permission (this excludes hide and seek/trivia)

2. All rules above apply to the GS just as a normal player

3. GS will not receive any financial gain of any kind. They must provide 1 week of service as a GS to qualify for 1 full set of 70 gears (including 4 tops, 4 weps) and a full set of 70 accessorys ( a Goddess Sonic Amulet, 2x Goddess Flash Ring, 2x Goddess Loop of Power).

4.If a GS is caught not following the rules their tags will be removed automatically and they will not receive them back!

5. Do not Instigate problems/issues in chats!

6. Use Message To Servers to promote the Server/ welcome new members or to get some PvP started (talking about normal PvP, not events).

====================== GM Rules ========================

1. GM's are NOT allowed to spawn items for players unless otherwise instructed by a ADM.

2. All in game rules apply to GM's as they do to other staff/players.

3. GM's are not paid staff unless they aid in development and hold no right to ban players unless an ADM grants that permission.

4. GM's caught in violation of the rules/ToS are subject to the same punishments as the rest of the staff/players and will be banned should proper evidence be presented.

5. The role of the GM is to heard and not seen. You are here to enforce rules and carry out events outlined by the ADMs. You are encouraged to log your normal toons to engage players on a non professional level to avoid claims of favoritism. This is a serious rule and will be heavily enforced.
